It's Simple Really

Tomorrow is Father's Day in Australia and it will suck.  Both Adrian and I have lost our fathers and poor Paul will face his first fathers day without Lucas.  WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Still no answers and still no comfort in any of this.  Yes the tears come less frequently but hey when you fast for three days by the third day your stomach stops rumbling, doesn't mean your not hungry.  No tears don't mean we're not sad.

  1. Thoughts and prayers are with you today. YES, it must feel unbearable. Don't give up asking HIM to show you they "whys" of it all. You might never know the reasons but also ask for peace. I am not speaking this from the outside looking in or judging. We have "been there done that" and it takes a LOT of time for some things to be revealed or for a peace of any sort to come. What are the alternatives to trusting and following HIM? Be kind to yourself and take time. Love you.

  2. Good morning. I've spent the last half hour or so reading through your blog(s), getting to know you and your family a little bit. Lucas was beautiful and he has left a beautiful family. I'm so sorry that you have all had to go through this. I wish there were right words - something that would make this better. Keep holding on to God, even though you're angry with Him. He knows. He understands. He also lost his boy.

Please stop by any time or email me. ((hugs)) -Polly

*Father, please hold this woman and this family so gently in your hand. Give them peace and moments of unexplained joy. Draw them to you. Draw them to each other* -Amen

  3. Hi Kim, I Came over from lens us together, The beautiful picture you had posted and the sad circumstances stayed with me all night. I don't know how you could not be angry, As bad as everyday is right now, holidays will be worse. Our fathers day is in June, My father passed away in May very unexpectedly, we are still waiting for an autopsy. IT is not the same as losing a child, but I do understand your anger. All you can is be there for one another and hopefully someday you will feel some peace. My prayers are with you and your family. Be well.
